A small plane made a hard landing at the Bermuda Dunes Airport.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a gust of wind pushed the plane's wing, causing the plane to cartwheel as it was landing.
Riverside County fire confirmed to KMIR6 News that two people in the plane were able to get out safely without suffering any injuries.
The single-engine Mooney M020 plane crash happened at 11:20 a.m. Thursday at the airport on Avenue 42 and Country Club Drive. The plane was badly damaged.
According to the FAA, the plane had taken off from Monterey and was heading to Bermuda Dunes.
