Officials at Fort Hood have contacted the valley's local blood donation clinic "LifeStream" and have asked for emergency blood donations.
"LifeStream" will stay open until 9 o'clock Thursday night to collect blood donations. They're in need of all blood types, especially o-negative because that blood type is universal. La quinta donor center is located at 79-215 Corporate Centre Drive, 1 block north of Highway 111, east of Adams.

Donor center hours are as follows: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
