Officials at Fort Hood have contacted the valley's local blood donation clinic "LifeStream" and have asked for emergency blood donations.

"LifeStream" will stay open until 9 o'clock Thursday night to collect blood donations. They're in need of all blood types, especially o-negative because that blood type is universal. La quinta donor center is located at 79-215 Corporate Centre Drive, 1 block north of Highway 111, east of Adams.
