If you were in Cathedral City recently, you may have seen and smelled smoke.
It was from the Riverside County Arson Task Force. They were conducting fire training at an abandoned home on First Street. The goal is to provide task force members an opportunity to investigate the origin of fires.
Crews also trained with an ignitable liquid detection K-9 to see how the dog helps out with the evidence collection process.
