Emmy award winning journalist, Elizabeth Beaubien, is elated to be back in the Coachella Valley and working at KMIR. Her career in TV News has taken her from the Pacific Northwest, to Southern California, to the Deep South, and back to sunny SoCal!

Last year, Elizabeth won an Emmy award for her 5 p.m. Newscast from 2009, and was also nominated for an Emmy for "On-camera Talent - Anchor". Her anchoring also helped win another Emmy for a previous year's newscast, and helped secure several other Emmy nominations.

Elizabeth takes pride in her work with the Rancho Mirage based International Medical Alliance. She has traveled twice to Ecuador with the group to document the organization's work helping sick and injured people who had could not afford and had no access to medical care.

The great outdoors and animals are Elizabeth's two other passions. She loves hiking, snowboarding, traveling and helping rescue any homeless animal whose path she crosses!

Elizabeth is originally from Tulsa, OK and graduated from the University of Tulsa.
