Mike Tsolinas
Meteorologist Mike Tsolinas is a 25 year broadcast veteran who has to his credit, multiple Emmy's and the coveted AMS Meteorological seal of approval.
Tsolinas, began his career in Duluth, Minnesota with "a couple of wooden weather maps and some great felt markers!". He soon moved to Austin, Texas and then after just 2 and a half years of TV under his belt moved to Detroit, Michigan where he spent 5 years as week day morning Meteorologist and general assignment reporter. His next stop was Chicago where he had a chance to go home for 6 years before moving to Las Vegas, Minneapolis, San Diego and Los Angeles.
Tsolinas, an avid follower of weather, has worked hard at his craft spending endless hours of his free time attending Meteorological conferences and Radar seminars in an effort to always keep up with technology and the latest applied sciences.
Mike is also the creator of "WeatherNutz", a program for 4 to 6th grade children to teach them the world of weather in a fun and innovative way. The program to date has reached over 100,000 kids nationwide in 4 different markets.
In his 25 years of TV Mike has also done a lot more than weather including more than 1000 reporting stories & live shots, golf shows, game shows and even interviewed Paul McCartney & Bill Cosby as well as doing the weather with countless celebrities and athletes.
Mike's personal life revolves around his wife Melissa, his daughter Gabi and his three dogs, Hannah, Stuart and Lola. When he does have time, which is rare, he loves to read, work out (besides his household chores) play golf and fish.
