Gene “Cip” Cipriano is one of Hollywood’s most recorded musicians. Working with many of the greatest musicians and recording artists over the past 50 years, Cip’s impressive career embodies recordings with Henry Mancini, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Elvis Presley, Judy Garland, Rosemary Clooney and Miles Davis—to name a few. Gene’s first solo album recorded at Capitol Records with an ensemble of today’s all-star players, FIRST TIME OUT is a first-class collection of American standards, swing and jazz tunes showcasing Cip’s mastery and versatility on a variety of reed instruments—including tenor sax, clarinet and English horn. His album is a rare opportunity to hear that 20th century authenticity recorded with the most advanced technology of the 21st century. Cat Conner has long been a happy presence in the Los Angeles jazz scene. Cat has a voice that is rich and sultry and an infectious smile, Cat is known for her ability to swing and her amazing choice of tunes. Her voice is strong and very attractive, her long tones are appealing, and she knows how to make each note and sound count. She particularly excels on ballads, for example, gives the ancient standard “Hello Ma Baby” a surprisingly sensuous treatment, and swings at every tempo.
