These unique Supper Concerts headline international jazz personalities exclusively at Vicky’s. This season features celebrity performers, both instrumentalists and vocalists, as well as tributes to famous songwriters and the musicians who record and perform their songs, all in an intimate and elegant setting. It starts at 5:30PM in the Supper Club Lounge with no-host cocktails, followed by a special 3-course dinner and show. Please visit web site to view dinner menu and for more information. www.vickysofsantafe.com/jazz-supper-club/ Finale of the series is Janis Mann & Trio -"A first class jazz singer!" Scott Yanow, jazz critic and author, proclaims. At once both a striking song stylist and a fearless improviser, Janis Mann is that rare artist who can sweep you away with her captivating sound. She is a true jazz singer in the manner of Carmen McRae, Betty Carter, and Shirley Horn, yet with a sound all her own. An exciting and engaging performer, Janis' rich timbre, flexibility, and range often invite comparisons to Sarah Vaughan. "Janis Mann continues to generate some of the best vocal music anywhere." These words from Cadence Magazine reviewer Alan Bargebuhr confirm what fans of this award-winning singer have known for years. Some of the jazz luminaries she has sung or recorded with include: Roy Haynes, Diane Schuur, Jack Sheldon, Jon Mayer, Ross Tompkins, John Heard, Red Holloway, and Dave Frishberg, earning their praises. REVIEW - "Mann... is owner and operator of a splendid instrument that owes as much to June Christy as it does to Sarah Vaughan. She possesses the unique ability to be simultaneously cool and sultry, to seem as crystalline as Baccarat's finest yet smoky as a Dietrich film festival, and to suggest that she's just stepped out of the 1950s while sounding utterly contemporary.
