MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY FIESTA
Las Casuelas Terraza will host its annual community Mexican Independence Day Fiesta, Sunday, September 16 at its Spanish colonial-style casa in downtown Palm Springs. The all-day event, open free to the public, will kickoff at 11am and run until closing. Festivities will feature performances by local folklorico dancers, live musical entertainment, dining, dancing and giveaways. Guests will also have an opportunity to visit the restaurant’s unique “Tequila Hall of Fame,” featuring some 70 rare and exquisite brands. The restaurant is at 222 S. Palm Canyon Drive, downtown Palm Springs. Las Casuelas Terraza is part of a more than 50-year tradition of fine Mexican American cuisine in the desert introduced by pioneer restaurateurs Florencio and Maria Delgado (commemorated on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars). Over the years, the restaurant has won numerous industry awards for its exceptional food, hospitality and service, including “Best of the Valley” for Mexican Cuisine, and has been recognized nationally by Hispanic Magazine for two years in a row as one of the “Top 50 Best Hispanic Restaurants in America.” For information, call (760) 325-2794. # # #
