First Friday performance with "Hurricane David" McChesney
Hailing from Joshua Tree, David has played the harmonica for over 30 years. He began singing the blues, heavily influenced by such performers as Sonny Boy Williamson and Junior Wells. After winning more than 200 talent competitions, he won the grand title of National Harmonica Champion at the National Harmonica Festival held in Yellow Pine, Idaho. David is also a well known nature and wildlife photographer and has photographed much of the western hemisphere and 54 of America’s National Parks. His musical program will feature desert and wildlife imagery from his latest book "The Mojave Desert: Miles of Wonder".
