Buck Fire Forces Evacuation in Riverside County
AGUANGA - A fast burning brush fire ignited just before 1 p.m. Tuesday near the small Riverside community of Aguanga, located outside of Temecula. Within an hour firefighters were ordering mandatory evacuations of nearby homes and businesses. The fire grew to nearly 2,000 acres within just a few hours.
The Red Cross established an evacuation center at the Community Recreation Center, located at 30875 Rancho Vista Road in Temecula.
Heavy smoke blew over the mountains into the Coachella Valley, filling the air with the smell of fire.
