Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Indio
INDIO - Several gunshots broke the early morning silence in an Indio neighborhood Wednesday. Police say a man in his early 20s was shot and killed outside an apartment complex. Police have not yet released the victim's identity.
According to Indio Police Department spokesman Ben Guitron, neighbors reported gunfire just before 3 a.m. outside and apartment building in the 82400 block of Requa Avenue. Police officers arrived on scene to find the victim on the ground.
Police say the man was taken to JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, where he died.
