Man Dies After Unusual Car Accident
PALM DESERT - A 62 year old La Quinta man is dead after he crashed his car into a jogger, a parked car, and a house before going into cardiac arrest.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Tennessee and Kentucky Avenue. Police say Terry Lagorio was driving on California Street when he hit a person who was jogging. The jogger suffered minor injuries. Lagorio then hit a boulder in front of a home and collided with a parked car. Finally, landing his car into the side of a home.
Fortunately, no one inside the home was injured. The impact did cause a natural gas line to rupture. Lagorio went into full cardiac arrest and was taken to a hospital where he later died.
