Two injured hikers had to be rescued along the Bump and Grind trail in Palm Desert this afternoon.
CalFire set up a command post soon after the 12:00 noon call for assistance. Rescue crews were able to assist the man and woman to safety just after 2:00 p.m. Paramedics checked the two over, but no word was given on the extent or severity of the injuries to the pair of hikers.
