Frozen Pizzas Recalled
Possible wires and metal in flour used for pizza crust
A line of frozen pizzas is being recalled by the maker after pieces of wire and metal may have contaminated the dough.
Northern California based Annie's Pizza is performing the volunary recall due to the possible presence of fragments of flexible metal mesh caused by a fulty screen at a third-party flour mill.
All varieties of Annies Rising Crust Frozen Pizza with Best By dates including and between 09Jan13 and 14Sep13 (January 9, 2013 and September 14, 2013) are affected.
The company says they have found no metal so far in any products, but are continuing with the voluntary recall.
Customers who have purchased to product can reutn it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
