Interstate 10 Open After Truck and Brush Fire
DESERT HOT SPRINGS - Interstate 10 is open tonight following a fire the destroyed a truck and set brush ablaze.
Just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday a commericial truck caught fire while heading eastbound near the Highway 62 interchange. It's still unclear how the fire started. Within ten minutes, the Highway Patrol was reporting that brush along the side of the road had also caught fire.
Within minutes of fire crews arrival, the fire was completly out. The interstate was down to two lanes at the height of the fire. No word on any injuries to the driver of the truck.
