Multiple Lives Lost in Weekend Crashes

PALM DESERT - Four people are dead after two fatal auto accidents across the desert. 

The Coroner's Office reports 41-year-old Jessie Moralez died last night when a car heading in the opposite direction on Gene Autry Trail spun out right in front of her.  An unidentified passnger in Moralez' car was taken to the hospital will major injuries.

The two men in the other vehicle we also declared dead.  Their identities are being describeed as a 19 year old male from Arizona, and a 20 year old male.  No word from authorities if alcohol is consdiered a factor.

Alochol was a factor in a crash in La Quinta that took the life of a Shadow Hills High student.  18-year old Victor Regalado died early Sunday after a jeep he was riding in crashed on  Adams Street at Avenue 40.   A female riding in the jeep was also hospitlaized.  

Accordin to The Desert Sun, Regalado posted "we drunk driving" to twitter about about 3:32am Sunday; minutes before the fatal accident.   The driver of the jeep was arrested for suspicion of  drunk driving.
