RANCHO MIRAGE - Mayor Scott Hines says the future of Rancho Mirage is 'excellent' as part of his annual "State of the City" address this afternoon.
In front of a full crowd in a dining room at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort, Hine outline part of the history of the city and how it is movieng into the future. City staffers outlined project in the works for Rancho Mirage, including how the city plans to work without redevelopment funds for a fourth year.
At the end, Mayor Hines was joined by professional Lucille Ball impersonator Suzanne Larusch. Ball was the honorary Mayor of Rancho Mirage for two years before the city incorporated in 1973. Larusch, as Ball, will represent the city at a number of civic events.
