INDIO - 64-year-old Bernadette Schwenn has pleaded not guilty to 30 charges related to animal cruelty.
Schwenn allegedly ran an unlicensed kennel housing more then 30 dogs at her home in unincorporated Riverside County, near Sky Valley.
She's charges with 10 felony counts and 20 misdemeanors all related to animal cruelty.
Schwenn had been arrested in early July on similar charges before being taking into custody again last week.
If convicted on all charges, Schwenn faces up to nine years in prison. she remains in County jail in Indio with bail set at $55,000. Another bail hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
