RANCHO MIRAGE - The passing of First Lady Betty Ford is being recognized at the Rancho Mirage Public Library.

She and her husband, the late President Gerald Ford, moved to Rancho Mirage in 1977. In the years after leaving the White House Mrs. Ford continued to lead an active public life. In addition to founding the Betty Ford Center, she remained active in women's issues taking on numerous speaking engagements and lending her name to charities for fundraising.

The book will be available for one month at the Library’s Information Desk. Afterwards, this collection of fond memories and appreciation of our First Lady will be presented to her four children.
