Palm Springs Bank Robber Caught
PALM SPRINGS- A man has been arrested after police say he robbed a bank in Palm Springs.
The Bank of America on East Ramon Road was targeted at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.
An officer arrived on scene shortly after the call and learned that the suspect, 28 year old Jeremy Derain, had fled on foot across Ramon Road, with an unknown amount of cash taken from the bank.
According to police, additional officers arrived in the area and located Derain walking in the area after changing an article of clothing. Derain initially attempted to flee from the officers but was detained without incident as he ran back towards the area of the bank.
Police say, all of the money taken during the robbery was recovered and returned to the bank. There were no weapons used.
