Substitute Teacher Jailed For Alleged Sexual Assault on Minor
LA QUINTA - A former Desert Sands Unified School District substitute teacher and coach is behind bars accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
Thursday police arrested 29-year-old Daniel Armstrong of La Quinta. Armstrong had been a substitue teacher and part-time coach for the school district, though no connection between his alleged crimes have been connected to his job.
Back on August 3rd La Quinta police were contacted by a female juvenile who claimed she was sexually assaulted by Armstrong in March.
He faces 25 counts of oral copulation, 5 counts of a lewd act with a child and other charges.
