For months business owners in Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage have been living and working in fear, not knowing if and when they would be the next target of serial burglars.

Charged with multiple counts of commercial burglary police arrested Marc Swyers and Frank Corder. They're not releasing photos of the two men until next week. but police found the suspects Friday with stolen property.
Gordon says the men knew exactly when to strike, on the only night there was no one watching the restaurant.
They didn't take any cash from Sherman's Deli, but also burglarized 17 other businesses.
Business owners are relieved police caught the burglars. Now it's all about taking extra precautions.
Police want to remind everyone to always be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity.
