Problems from two of the biggest concerts in the world ..held here in the coachella valley.

Residents of la quinta say the coachella fest and stagecoach music festivals disrupt their lives every year..and want the city of indio to do something about it.

Noise, traffic , and pollution just some of teh concerns La Quinta residents have . Now, with Coachella expanding to two weekends and Stage Coach adding an extra day, those concerns are growing.

The La Quinta City council asked Indio to take these concerns into consideration before signing a contract with event promoter Golden Voice.

The city of Indio make some changes to their contract to address these concerns. They legally didnt have to make any changes but did so anyways to appease La Quinta residents since these concerts are in their backyards too.

The plan Martinez is talking about includes making some changes to the festivals including:
- increasing the number of people shuttled to the polo grounds
- adding 3-4,000 parking spaces on grass
- moving pick-up and drop off
- adding more water trucks
- more security
- monitoring noise levels

Indio City Council will decide whether or not to sign the updated contract at their meeting Wednesday evening. But these festivals make so much money for the entire valley- about 35 million total, it's likely they'll vote yes.
