COACHELLA VALLEY - In the past 48hours, we have witnessed Mother Nature's wrath of winds.
But right here in the Valley, residents are actually embracing the weather.
People flocked to several tree lighting cermonies in Palm Springs, Indio, and Cathedral City.
When you come from Alberta Canada, Lory Roberston says a windy-cool day in the desert is a breeze.
"it makes it seems more like xmas when its cooler" said Roberston."
There was also plenty of cheer on North Palm Canyon Drive as carolers drew quite a crowd with songs.
