PALM SPRINGS- A domestic dispute takes a violent turn when a wife allegedly took a pair of scissors out and tried to cut-off her husband's penis. Police say it was 69 year old Virginia Valdez.
She was arrested and charged with spousal abuse, assault with a deadly weapon, and mayhem.
The attack happened Saturday evening at a home on Rochelle Road in Palm Springs. Police won't tell us what led to the attack or specific details of it. They will not release the victim's name.Now that Valdez made bail her husband filed a restraining order. Valdez's arraignment is next month.
Within three hours, the victim was treated and released from the hospital.
As far as his health, we hear he's doing good; well enough that he went to police headquarters to give them a second interview. .
Police say the couple has been married for 32 years.
