Thermal Gunman Found and Arrested

UNICORPORATED AREA - According to police, the man they were looking for aimed a shotgun at his sister, threatened her, and then took-off running. It happened right after an argument.

It was in the area of Martinez and 66th Avenue.

That's where the all-out search began and nearby schools were on lock-down.

           

CHP circled high above in a plane, Border Patrol knocked on doors, Coachella Police and Sheriff Deputies swarmed-in with rifles. Every car entering the area was forced to turn back. 

 

 It was all to find 25 year old Thomas Perez of Thermal. He was arrested near Tyler and 66th Avenue just before 2PM Friday afternoon.

 After Perez was arrested they found his rifle nearby.  No word on what the argument was about. His sister was not injured.
