Free Christmas Day Meal
PALM SPRINGS - More than 2,000 Coachella Valley residents in need are expected to attend a free Christmas Day meal, featuring Santa Claus and all the fixings on Dec. 25 in Palm Springs.
The luncheon is slated from noon to 3 p.m. at the Palm Springs Convention Center, 277 N. Avenida Caballeros.
Children up to the age of 17 will each receive one gift from Santa Claus and a host of activities for families and children will be available, including face-painting and arts and crafts.
The event is sponsored by Well in the Desert, the Auen Foundation and the City of Palm Springs.
