PALM SPRINGS - A section of northbound traffic along Gene Autry Trail was shut down for several hours Thursday afternoon following a paint spill on the roadway, according to Palm Springs police.
The spill happened at 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Via Escuela.
The street, already bottle necked by construction, was reduced to one lane on the southbound side.
Police say the spill was cleared by early evening Thursday and all lanes reopened by 7 p.m.
