Shooting in Rancho Mirage
RANCHO MIRAGE - A man was in critical condition at the hospital Sunday after police say a Rancho Mirage woman shot him.
The shooting happened at the Rebecca Apartments. Police found the man with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to the hospital where he is in critical, but stable condition.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department arrested 28-year-old Andrea Auclair for assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm in a negligent manner, and child endangerment.
Child protective services took two children from the apartment. The sheriff's department told KMIR6 News the investigation is ongoing, and couldn't release additional details including the relationship of the man and woman.
