DESERT HOT SPRINGS - Ana Rankin defended our country in Afghanistan, now she has returned home to the Coachella Valley and is educating students about her experience.
Rankin has just returned from active duty in Afghanistan.
She is also an alumni of Bubbling Wells Elementary in Desert Hot Springs.
Ana went back to the campus Tuesday where she presented an American flag to the school, the flag was flown in Afghanistan.
After the presentation, Ana spoke about her experience overseas and took questions from students.
