Bank Robbers Nabbed outside Bank
PALM DESERT - A woman along with a possible accomplice were taken into custody Thursday afternoon, moments after they allegedly robbed a bank.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department a Hispanic woman entered the First Bank of Highway 111 in Palm Desert and handed a bank teller a demand note. The teller complied and the woman fled the bank.
The unidentified woman was immediately arrested with cash in hand as she exited the bank. Someone inside the bank pressed the silent alarm and called 9-11.
Sheriffs also arrested a man believed to be the getaway driver in the immediate area. No injuries were reported.
