Cockfight Bust in Riverside County
RIVERSIDE - Twenty-eight people were arrested and $14,000 in cash seized in a cockfighting bust here in Riverside County.
Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant Sunday morning at a home in Jurupa Valley after being tipped off about cockfighting taking place there.
Authorities found evidence of cockfighting and gambling at the home. Twenty-eight men were arrested as illegal animal fighting spectators.
The homeowner was arrested for animal cruelty and illegal gambling.
