Shooting and Fire Investigation
LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Los Angeles police SWAT team has been called in to search a burned home in Hollywood where at least three people were shot and wounded.
Authorities say a man and two women with gunshot wounds were rescued from the burning home at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday and a suspected gunman's charred reamins were found shortly thereafter.
Meanwhile, it's unclear whether the shooter escaped.
More than 100 firefighters were called to the rambling single-story home but they could only fight flames from a distance because of fears about the shooter.
The three known victims were taken to a hospital in serious condition.
The fire gutted most of the home and a fire official says there's no chance anyone who may have been inside survived.
