13th Annual Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's

PALM DESERT - Thursday night a local Jewish Deli and a place of worship came together to remind the public of a growing disease -- Alzheimer's.

The Temple Sinai Brotherhood and Sherman's Deli teamed up for the Alzheimer Fundraiser Bazaar. It was open to the public and included many vendors and proceeds are going to the Alzheimer's Association.

The 13th annual Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™ is Saturday, March 3 at Civic Center Park in Palm Desert.  Residents and businesses from throughout the Coachella Valley will raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease.

In addition to the 2-mile route, Walk to End Alzheimer's will include entertainment, food, awards and a family festival.  Walkers who raise $100 receive a commemorative T-shirt, and there are prizes for top fund-raising teams and individuals.  Onsite registration opens at 9 a.m., opening ceremonies begin at 10 and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m.
