Medical Marijuana Delivery Driver Robbed
DESERT HOT SPRINGS - Thursday night around 7:30 p.m. Desert Hot Springs police were called to the 13900 block of Cactus Drive for a robbery.
According to police the victim said he went to a home to deliver medical marijuana to a patient. That's when 25 year-old Yuriy Abaryants grabbed the small amount of medicine away from the delivery man and then tried to physically attack him.
The victim was able to flee the scene and call police. When police arrived it took nearly one hour to get Abaryant out of the house. He was taken into custody without incident.
Abaryants was booked into the Riverside County Sheriff Department's Larry D. Smith Correctional facility in Banning for robbery.
