Prostitution Sting in Palm Desert
PALM DESERT - A prostitution sting at a massage parlor ends in the arrest of three women here in the valley.
The sting operation took place Wednesday morning at Oasis Aroma Therapy located on the 41-000 block of Boardwalk in Palm Desert.
Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department's Special Enforcement Team and Riverside County Sheriff's Special Investigations Bureau conducted the undercover sting.
Inside the business, officers found evidence that employees were engaged in prostitution.
The city was also called to investigate potential municipal code violations.
The following employees were arrested for solicitation of prostitution:
-Cecilia Jimenez, 36 years old and a resident of Ontario
-Anabel Rubio, 34 years old and a resident of Riverside
-Maria Ramirez, 36 years old and a resident of San Bernardino
The investigation is ongoing and police are reaching out to the public and asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Palm Desert Police Department at 760-836-1600 or Crime Stoppers at 760-341-STOP (7867).
