Palm Desert Library Makeover Closing for Six Months April 7th
PALM DESERT - The Palm Desert Public Library is entering a new chapter its about to undergo a $3.5 million makeover.
The library will be closing for six months staring on April 7th.
The library will get a new roof, paint, carpet and furniture. An automated self checkout system with a conveyor belt will also be installed and the number of computers will triple from 12 to 36.
The makeover is being paid for by Redevelopment Funds.
A bookmobile will be set up at Civic Center Park four days a week during the closure.
