Rash of Earthquakes Rock Coachella Valley
COACHELLA VALLEY - A rash of small earthquakes Tuesday rocked an area of the Coachella Valley. Dozens of residents reported feeling a quick "jolt" rather than a lingering shaking typically associated with tremblors.
The most recent quake hit just after 6 p.m. measuring a magnitude of 3.5, according the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was located about 11 miles northeast of Indio and about 20 miles southwest of Twenty-nine Palms.
Earlier in the day a similar sized quake struck that same general area, measuring magnitude-3.4.
So far there are no reports of damage or injuries.
