RANCHO MIRAGE - A special celebration of friendship of women from all around the country took place in Rancho Mirage, honoring long lasting relationships. Alex Witt, MSNBC anchor and host of "Weekends with Alex Witt", joined dozens of women to pay tribute to the group known as "The Birthday Club".
The club celebrates the friendship of women spanning more than 50 years. Members meet consistently to host lunches and events for the birthday girls of the month. Alex is a proud daughter of one of the original members. The event featured a slideshow covering the 50 years of friendship. It was the first-time the birthday club has included daughters and daughter-in-laws.
