"Boom Town" Opens
PALM DESERT - A show called "Extraordinary" by the New York Times is now here in the desert and will be performing into the weekend.
They just wrapped up their first show out of four Thursday night, and these will be the last shows they do this season.
Right now the Mccallum Theater box office is selling tickets to "Boom Town" from Cirque Mechanics. The group was founded in 2004 by Boston native and German wheel artist, Chris Lashua, after the success of his collaborative project with the Circus Center of San Francisco, Birdhouse Factory.
"Boom Town" creators say the show transports you to the 1865 mining town of Rosebud, where an unlikely discovery sets off a series of hilarious and unexpected events full of the lore, excitement, and adventure of the gold rush and the wild west!
"Boom Town" will be performing Friday night at 8 p.m. at the Mccallum Theater and again on Saturday for two shows.
Tickets range from 25 to 65 dollars and are available at the box office and online.
