Tens of thousands of people are flooding into our valley to enjoy the first weekend of one of the biggest music festivals in the world.
It is a big party weekend from the actual music festival itself, to pre-parties at local hotels and exclusive, invite-only parties.
The desert will be bustling this weekend.
Pumped up music fans, vehicles decorated in designs, and police out in full force--the massive music event is definitely here.
We asked Brian, Alex, Jenn and Marissa if they had attended before, "no, no, he(Brian) has, he's a veteran, he's our guide, many years. It's my fourth year, and he's old, that's why he looks so ancient."
Brian James-- the ancient music guide-- told us what newbies will enjoy most at the festival.
Tthe atmosphere, there's tons of people, when you're around that many people it's good energy, and just brings everyone together."
Dean is back for his second Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
"No matter what you're doing your having a good time, any of the stages hearing good music, even if you're not at any of the stages you're just hanging out and looking at great art installations,"said Dean Dechiaro who is going to school in LA.
There are also many pre and after parties all across the desert... from the Saguara in Palm Springs... to Filter Yacht Club in Coachella.  Many parties will draw celbrities and are exclusive and invitation only, like the Neon Carnival at a top secret location.
"There's like a Filter Yacht party or something, I don't know, I tried to get on the list, but they denied me," said Brian James.
But festies say they have plenty of parties at the festival.
"The camping is pretty much an after-party in itself, people really sort of rage all night, but I have heard the parties are pretty great," said Dechiaro.
Coachella festers traveled from across the globe, ready to have a good time, rain or shine.
"It rains here? kind of worried about the wind. We brought rafts, we're ready for anything," said Brian, Alex, Jenn and Marissa.
