Another Rash of Earthquakes Rattles Eastern Coachella Valley
INDIO - Did you feel the Earth move today? Another rash of small earthquakes continues to rattle eastern Coachella Valley Thursday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, at least a half dozen tremblors have hit an area northeast of Indio and Coachella. The first quake Thursday recorded at 4:03 a.m. and the most recent at 10:11 a.m. Thursday. The quakes measure between a magnitude of 1.2 and 3.0.
The two largest tremblors, magnitude-2.8 and 3.0, hit within seconds of one another about 4:45 a.m. with another sizable quake, magnitude-2.5, hitting 45 minutes later.
Officials have not received reports of damage or injuries.
