More Coachella Festival Tickets Available
INDIO - The promoters of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival are releasing a limited amount of general admission passes for purchase to this weekend's festival, according to a spokesperson from Goldenvoice, the festival promoter. But there's a catch, the tickets are intended for Coachella Valley residents only.
The second of two weekends for the newly expanded music festival kicks of Friday and runs thru Sunday.
Residents from North Palm Springs to the Salton Sea may purchase up to two passes for this second weekend of the festival, according to Goldenvoice.
Festival passes will be for sale in person at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden Box Office starting Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. or while supplies last.
Passes are $330 each and limited to two per person. The purchaser and guest must both be present as the wristband will be applied directly to their wrist by box office staff at the time of purchase. Passes are non-transferable and proof of residency must be shown in the form of a California driver's license, ID card or Government issued ID.
Goldenvoice is also encouraging festival-goers to register their wristbands to receive enhanced customer support, social media features, merchandise specials and potential upgrades.
After registering wristbands on Coachella.com, fans may connect to their Facebook account. RFID portals throughout the festival and near the stages allow fans to "check in." Fans can swipe their wristband and check in automatically at any of the RFID portals.
