PALM DESERT - The Palm Desert Public Library closed last month for renovations but you can still get your books- thanks to a new temporary library location. 

 

The temporary spot is at Westfield Palm Desert on the first floor near the Macy's Furniture Gallery entrance.

 

There will be a grand opening celebration there Saturday at 10 a.m. This free event will be open to the public, and families of all ages are encouraged to attend. A balloon artist will be on hand to provide entertainment for the children, and light refreshments will be served.

 

"We look forward to serving you at our temporary location as we await the opening of our newly remodeled Palm Desert Library in early Fall 2012," according to staff at the Palm Desert Library.
