LA QUINTA-- The search is on for two men who broke into a home in La Quinta. Police are looking for two suspects tonight. It happened around 11:30a.m. on Carnes Circle.

Bruce Robbins lives directly across the street from the break-in, and says he had a birds eye view of the commotion.

"I saw the police cars out here and was wondering what happened... You just gotta be careful," Says Robbins.

"Officers arrived on scene within three minutes, set up a perimeter, but its apparent at this point the suspect eluded a capture prior to us arriving on scene," says Lt Matt Jimenez, La Quinta Police Department.

The victim told police that when she entered her home, the suspect ran out of the house and jumped over a fence. The good news is that no one was hurt.

Police say there was no weapon involved, and the suspects were startled when the victim arrived home. But police say they are looking for two suspects.

"The house appeared to be ransacked, but we don't have a list of what was stolen at this time," says Jimenez.

The suspects are described as two hispanic men in their 20's. If you have any information that can help La Quinta Police - call crimestoppers at 760-341-STOP. Your call will remain anonymous.
