COACHELLA - Another chop shop gets dismantled here in the Coachella Valley. It's the second time in just three weeks, the previous happening in Cathedral City after officer on random parking enforcement turned an eye, landing two men behind bars.
Early Sunday morning, Coachella Police were called to Calle Bonita for a stolen car. When they arrived, they spotted the car and two men nearby. One man took off running. The other, 26-year-old Abel Salmoe, was arrested and charged with a number of felonies.
The other man is still wanted and is described as hispanic and in his 20's.
Further investigation revealed a number of stolen cars and stolen parts in the homes' backyard. The investigation is ongoing.
