I10 Closed at Jefferson Due To Officer Involved Shooting
INDIO - All westbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed at Jefferson in Indio as the result of a police investigation.
An Indio Police spokesman says there was an officer involved shooting at that location early Monday. The spokesman say no officers were injured in the shooting.
Indio Police say a motorist crashed along Eastbound I10 near Jefferson Street about 5 a.m. which then transpired into an exchange with police officers. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
