Illegal Immigrant Crackdown
LOS ANGELES - The United States is reportedly stepping up on illegal immigration enforcement.
According to an article in the LA Times, "US Immigration and Customs Enforcement" or "ICE" has put more agents on the jobs for finding and deporting illegal immigrants. Specifically those with criminal records.
The article sites documents that say ICE has asked teams to arrest at least 50 people a month. However ice officials told the paper there are no quotas. Some say the plan is politically motivated.
