90 Days of Summer Relief Campaign
COACHELLA VALLEY - The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission has started its "90 days of Summer Relief" campaign and they need your help to provide water, food and shelter for the homeless.
During the program, volunteers travel to homeless encampments with deliveries of bottled water, sunscreen, hats and clothing. The shelter, located in Indio, also keeps emergency overnight beds for those needing relief from the heat.
A donation of $90 or one dollar a day for 90 days will provide water for a homeless person for the entire summer.
The mission is also in need of canned and other nonperishable foods items.
