Shadow Hills High School is now home to its very first graduating class.
180 students are now the proud owners of their diplomas, and the very first class to graduate from the halls of Shadow Hills.
It's a time of hope and optimism and preparing for their future.

It is a proud moment for the students--marching onto the field in front of their family and earning their diplomas.
And being the first graduating class ever made the night all the more sweet for seniors like Michelle Munoz.
"To be the first actual class to graduate from a new school such as Shadow Hills, it's really great."
Parents packed the stands.
Miranda Contreras is the first valedictorian of Shadow Hills and her mother couldn't be more proud.
"It is a huge day for our entire family being the first valedictorian in our family we are so honored and privileged to have her attend this school," said Rosanna Contreras, Miranda's mother.
Now that they are graduates, comes the important decision of what to do next.
A recent report said California needs two million more college completions to stay economically competitive.
"One of the key pieces we work on here is the relevance component, that all of their coursework is designed to move them into the 21st century workforce, whether it is through the collegiate career, whether it is through a skills profession, through technical colleges, whatever their choices might be," said Shadow Hills High School principal, Douglas Bluth.
Miranda will be going to the University of Redlands to being her path towards becoming a doctor.
"The staff they have here is real supportive of the kids, and I think with teachers like that here, that's whets going to help and make these kids want to continue to their education and hopefully fill that gap," said Contreras.
And Michelle is looking forward to her future.
"I'm really happy with what I've done so far, and I just can't wait until I get further into my career as a forensic nurse," said Michelle Munoz.
With new diplomas in hand, new paths to their futures opening up, and even a new song for the alma mater-- 180 SHHS seniors are now graduates.
"Everyone who goes to this school will know that the class of 2012 was here first," Miranda Contreras told the crowd.
Those 180 seniors started at Shadow Hills three years ago as sophomores.
Congratulations to them all, and to the classes to follow them.
